Kevin Cooks: Gochujang Pasta
I’ve found Korean ingredients is very fun and easy to fuse with other cuisines. Here’s another!
Ingredients:
Pasta form of your choosing
Water
Gochujang
Garlic
Olive oil
Heavy cream
Parmesan
Directions:
Start by boiling a pot of hot water. Add salt. Add your pasta and cook until al dente. Save 1 cup of the water.
In a separate pan, heat up your olive oil and saute your garlic. Add gochujang paste once garlic becomes aromatic and before it burns. Once the sauce begins to heat up, add a little bit of cream until the dark red color becomes orage. Add in the cooked pasta and mix. Add more pasta water if the sauce is not sticking.
Serve with some freshly grated parmesan on top.
